The British producer Amya-Ray presents us her latest work: an EP containing the Electrohed remixes of her song “Old Man“.

Following on from the enormous response to her recent singles ‘Love Is Poison’ and ‘Never Meant To Be’ earlier this year, which have since clocked up thousands of streams since being released, emerging singer-songwriter Amya-Ray returns once again to offer up the Electrohed remix of her newest outing ‘Old Man’.

Giving the original track a broad and immersive appeal, this new rework of ‘Old Man’ makes for an incredibly passionate and resonating listen. With her lilting voice sprawled across a progressive production from start to finish, these two certainly make quite the enigmatic pair. Amya-Ray is a genre- efying singer-songwriter whose vocals are ambient, pure, and soulful. Finding beauty in the mundane and offering a vivid account of the hopes, fears and frustrations of a young woman in the modern world, her shows are intimate experiences, with songs drawing directly from personal experiences and delivered with unflinching honesty.

Amya grew up in a blend of a Islamic and Christian faith surrounded by music encompassing Classic Rock, Gospel, Garage, DnB, Bollywood and Arabic. This diversity is reflected in her own influences, which include Submotion Orchestra, Lianne La Havas, Warpaint, London Grammar and Nina Simone.

Capable of playing solo, or with a full band accompaniment, Amya has a rich record of live performances behind her, including festival slots at Boomtown and Readipop, where she shared the bill with acts such as Wretch 32, Morcheeba, Shy Fx and Dawn Penn. Her unwavering commitment to songwriting and connecting with audiences mean that she has high aspirations for the future. She is currently writing, composing new material including collaborating with artists outside of her genre pushing the boundaries.
