This track “Shake a 62” made by producer Shota Hasimoto was created using the combination of YAMAHA’s RY30 and DX100. The melody plays the same throughout the tracks. While I tried to change it at some point, it didn’t quite match the mood of the song, so I left it as is.

Instead, I made use of the RY30‘s features to create a structure that keeps the listener engaged with various sounds changing as the music progresses.

The track title is inspired by the reverence of Buddhism, and it’s named after Shakyamuni (Buddha).

Listening to “Trickfinger” by Trickfinger, released in 2015, was the catalyst that led me into the world of electronic music – says Shota Hasimoto – Subsequently, I began avidly listening to artists who combine intense beats and melodies, such as Aphex Twin. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I mobilized my savings and purchased various equipment. I kept making demos while staying at home and recorded the tracks I produced from January to March 2022 as my debut work, “Shgendō EP,” which was released on April 29, 2023. The influence of my favorite artists is still evident, but I am gradually establishing my own musical style and worldview. My policy is “combining Japanese spirit with Western talent.” Drawing on Japan’s unique spirit that has developed as an island nation, I plan to continue releasing my works in the future”.
