Fondata nel 1999, Defected Records ha contribuito in maniera decisiva all’evoluzione del genere house con uno storico di celebri release e showcases in tutto il mondo. A marzo 2026, Defected torna in Italia per due speciali appuntamenti: venerdì 13 marzo al Gate Milano e sabato 14 Marzo al CountryClub di Palermo.

Come ti senti all’idea di suonare per Defected a Milano?
Oliva: Mi sembra di aver suonato con Defected molte lune fa. Tornare con il brand a Milano è speciale. Gli italiani sanno come fare festa, sono emozionato!
Un brano che ti ricorda sempre Defected Records?
Dixon: Un brano che mi ricorda sempre Defected è “What You Need” dei Powerhouse. Uno dei primi inni Defected che mi ricorda i primi dischi house che ho comprato imparando a fare il DJ.
Com’è nata “Nappp”, rilasciata su Defected il 13 febbraio?
Oliva: “Nappp” è un brano che ho realizzato con Bensy letteralmente in viaggio! Iniziato a Napoli – ecco perché “Nappp” – ci abbiamo lavorato a Ibiza e lo abbiamo finito in Portogallo. Un brano estivo ricco di buone vibrazioni. Defected è un abbinamento perfetto, sono davvero felice di tornare su un’etichetta storica come questa!
Un brano che ti ricorda sempre Defected Records?
Oliva: Tra i brani che mi ricordano Defected “Finally”- King Of Tomorrow è in assoluto il mio preferito!
L’Italia ti ha musicalmente influenzato in qualche modo?
Dixon: L’Italo Disco ha sempre un posto nel mio cuore. Non è molto in voga al momento quindi non è qualcosa che ho mai suonato davvero, ma se volete divertirvi tirate fuori un pò di Italo.

How does it feel to play in Milan with Defected?
Oliva: It feels like I’ve played in Defected many moons ago. Returning with the brand to Milan is special, Italians know how to party.
Which track always reminds you of Defected Records?
Dixon: A track that always reminds me of Defected records would be “What You Need” – Powerhouse. One of the early Defected anthems that reminds me of first buying house records and learning how to DJ.
How did the track released on Defected on February 13th come about?
Oliva: “Nappp“ is a track I’ve made with Bensy literally on the road! We’ve started in Napoli (thats why nappp), worked on it in Ibiza and finished it in Portugal. Good vibes summer track, Defected is a perfect match. I’m really happy to be back on such an iconic label like Defected!
Which track always reminds you of Defected Records?
Oliva:“Finally”- King Of Tomorrow absolutely one of my favorites!
Do you have any musical influences from Italy?
Dixon: Italo Disco always has a place in my heart. It’s not really in vogue atm, so is not something I ever really play, but if you want to have a good time, crack out some Italo.
