Oggi abbiamo il piacere di parlare di Sideral, un artista noto per la sua capacità di fondere melodic house e techno con paesaggi sonori atmosferici ed emotivi. Collabora con etichette come HABITAT e con artisti come Mind Against, guadagnando il giusto riconoscimento nella scena underground. Sideral propone DJ set e produzioni immersive che bilanciano ritmi energici e texture cinematografiche. Le sue esibizioni in importanti città come Londra e Berlino testimoniano una crescente presenza internazionale.

Ciao Sideral, grazie per essere con noi oggi. Come stai?
Ciao ragazzi! Grazie a voi per avermi invitato. Sto bene e sono entusiasta per l’uscita del mio nuovo EP!
Sei parte di HABITAT fin dall’inizio — in che modo “Selva Floresta” riflette la tua evoluzione all’interno dell’etichetta? E questa uscita rappresenta per te una sorta di ‘ritorno a casa’?
Questa uscita significa molto per me perché Habitat e Mind Against mi hanno dato l’opportunità di brillare di nuovo. Credo che il modo migliore per ripagare la loro fiducia sia continuare a pubblicare musica per loro. Per quanto riguarda questo EP, lo vedo come parte della mia evoluzione sia come persona che come artista. Non voglio fermarmi; sto lavorando duramente per dimostrare di nuovo il mio valore entro la fine dell’anno.
Il tuo sound si colloca spesso tra groove ipnotici e narrazione emotiva. Quando hai iniziato a lavorare su questo EP, volevi bilanciare consapevolmente questi elementi o è nato tutto in modo naturale?
No, in generale faccio musica senza pensare a dove potrebbe collocarsi. Questo a volte mi permette di non avere barriere mentali e di esprimermi liberamente e completamente.
“Miracle” apre il disco con una tensione lenta e quasi cinematografica. Qual è stata l’idea o l’emozione iniziale che ha dato vita a questo brano?
Per me “Miracle” è stato il brano che mi ha tirato fuori da un periodo difficile della mia vita. Sono molto soddisfatto perché credo sia una delle migliori melodie che abbia mai creato. L’intenzione era realizzare una traccia melodica con una base indie dance che trasmettesse una forte emozione.
La title track richiama l’energia della foresta pluviale — puoi raccontarci le immagini o le esperienze dietro “Selva Floresta” e come le hai tradotte in ritmo?
“Selva Floresta” è nata dall’intuizione di combinare un groove deciso con sonorità fresche e audaci. Per molto tempo l’ho immaginata suonata in un luogo esotico, mantenendo sempre l’obiettivo: renderla il brano più forte all’interno di un DJ set.
“Rhythmic Symphony” si muove in uno spazio più emotivo e atmosferico. Come riesci a integrare voci e texture cinematografiche senza perdere l’impatto da dancefloor?
Penso che la chiave sia stata non rendere il brano monotono. In “Rhythmic Symphony” si trovano parti melodiche e cantate, ma anche momenti più diretti e decisi. Combinare questi elementi non è stato difficile, perché avevo già in mente il tipo di traccia che volevo creare e desideravo che venisse fuori esattamente così.
Hai lavorato a stretto contatto con Mind Against e remixato CamelPhat — in che modo queste collaborazioni hanno influenzato il tuo approccio alla produzione? E come hanno ispirato questo EP?
Lavorare con artisti come Mind Against e CamelPhat è stato, ed è tuttora, estremamente formativo per me. Ho potuto vedere da vicino come lavorano produttori di successo, ed è stata un’opportunità incredibilmente gratificante. Queste esperienze mi hanno sicuramente aiutato a crescere sia musicalmente che mentalmente.
Gespona chiude il progetto con un remix più essenziale e orientato al club. Cosa ti ha attratto del suo sound e come pensi che la sua interpretazione completi l’EP?
Volevo davvero che Gonzalo facesse parte di questo EP perché credo abbia grande tecnica, gusto e qualità, oltre a essere una persona splendida e umile — valori molto importanti per me. Il remix è venuto esattamente come lo immaginavo: elegante e più orientato al club. Sono molto felice che abbia accettato e di avergli dato questa opportunità.
Con questa uscita che rafforza la tua identità su HABITAT, dove vedi evolvere il tuo sound? Più verso lo storytelling o verso un’energia più da club?
In realtà sto già lavorando e finalizzando il prossimo EP per Habitat. Credo che la direzione giusta per me sia seguire lo stile di “Selva Floresta”, con un tocco di House.

Hi Sideral, thanks for being today with us. How are you doing today?
Hi guys! Thank you for having me. I’m doing well and excited about the release of my new EP!
You’ve been part of HABITAT since its inception — how does
“Selva Floresta” reflect your evolution within the label, and does
this release feel like a homecoming moment for you?
This release means a lot to me because Habitat and Mind Against have
given me the opportunity to shine again. I believe the best way to repay
their trust is to continue releasing music for them. Regarding this EP,
I see it as part of my evolution both as a person and an artist. I don’t
want to stop; I’m working hard to prove myself again by the end of the
year.
Your sound often sits between hypnotic groove and emotional
storytelling. When starting this EP, did you consciously aim to balance
those elements, or did it emerge naturally in the process?
No, generally I make music without thinking about where it might fit in.
This sometimes allows me to have no mental barriers and to express
myself freely and fully.
“Miracle” opens the record with a slow-burning, almost cinematic
tension. What was the initial idea or feeling that sparked this track?
For me, “Miracle” was the track that lifted me out of a difficult time
in my life. I’m very satisfied because I believe it’s one of the best
melodies I’ve ever created. The intention was to craft a melodic track
with an indie dance base that conveys strong emotion.
The title track channels the energy of the rainforest — can you
talk about the imagery or experiences behind “Selva Floresta” and
how you translated that into rhythm?
“Selva Floresta” was born from the intuition of combining a bold groove
with fresh, daring sounds. For a long time, I envisioned it being played
in an exotic location, while keeping the goal in mind: making it the
strongest track in a DJ set.
“Rhythmic Symphony” leans into a more emotive and atmospheric
space. How do you approach incorporating vocals and cinematic textures
without losing dancefloor impact?
I think the key was not to make the track monotonous. In “Rhythmic
Symphony”, you find melodic, sung parts, but also direct and decisive
ones. Combining these three elements wasn’t difficult, to be honest,
because I already had in mind the type of song I wanted to create, and I
wanted it to come out exactly as it did.
You’ve worked closely with Mind Against and remixed CamelPhat —
how have those collaborations shaped your production mindset? And how
they influence your work inspiration goin into this EP?
Working with artists like Mind Against and CamelPhat was, and still is,
incredibly formative for me. I was able to see firsthand how successful
producers work, and having this opportunity was incredibly rewarding.
These experiences have definitely helped me grow both musically and
mentally.
Gespona delivers a stripped-back, club-focused remix to close the
release. What drew you to his sound, and how do you see his
interpretation complementing the EP?
I really wanted Gonzalo to be part of this EP because I believe he has
great technique, taste, and quality, in addition to being a wonderful
and humble person, which are very important values to me. The remix
turned out exactly as I envisioned it—stylish and more club-oriented.
I’m very happy that he agreed to do it and that I could give him this
opportunity.
With this release reinforcing your identity on HABITAT, where do you
see your sound heading next — deeper into storytelling, or further
into club-driven energy?
I’m already working on and finishing the next Habitat EP, to be honest.
I believe the right direction for me is to follow the style of “Selva
Floresta” with a touch of House.
