From creative process to personal growth, this conversation offers an intimate look into the heart and mind of a fearless songwriter who continues to create music with purpose, honesty, and timeless emotional depth.

“I Promise I’ll Wait For You” is deeply inspired by your real-life love story with Rynellton. How did transforming such a personal experience into a song influence your songwriting process for this release?

When you care and love someone so deeply, it’s a common thing to express that. Being separated by the ocean of over 4000 miles is challenging. We miss each other and communicate virtually every day. However none of technology replaces or fills the void. Being able to feel, speak to. and see each other physically is priceless. I wrote the song from longing for my soul mate. In the process I was transparent as I reflected over our journey. It caused me to write from my soul on how I felt. The song serves as a love letter to assure him I love him and it’s all worth the wait.

The song pays tribute to perseverance, sacrifice, and long-distance love. What emotions were most challenging to capture while writing and recording this track?

I’m going to say, the most challenging part for me was the reality of loneliness. When we have to part it’s very difficult for me. So I’m trying to represent being strong while knowing he’s got to leave. Trying to be encouraging while you know your heart is breaking isn’t a great combination. But it worked in this moment.

The sound of the song is described as dreamy, mystical, and otherworldly. How did you and Rynellton work together to build this atmosphere musically?

When we lock in our chemistry is incredible. All I had to do was share my idea with him once, and he was sold. He loved it instantly. The primary foundation seemed effortless because we connected so well from the beginning. Afterwards I shared more ideas I had in mind. He brought my ideas to life and also brought on some of his own ideas.

Your vocal performance gradually builds toward a powerful climax. How did you approach the vocal arrangement to support the emotional narrative of the song?

Once my husband put a primary track around my song, I heard the potential. I made some edits to tighten things up with my direction of my vocals. Later after hearing it all it seemed like something was still missing. The song was absolutely stunning but I knew I wanted to make it really special. We put our minds together and then came up with the climax. My husband said he got goosebumps after we had put everything together.

Your music is often praised for its honesty and emotional depth. How has your life journey shaped your artistic voice and lyrical storytelling?

Music is a powerful tool, it really is. I’m a emotionally charged singer-songwriter and I feel things very deeply. Because of my many life experiences, I needed an outlet. Music was one of them. I found a way to pour my heart out without speaking directly to someone. I’m a sensitive and I thank God for the gift of music. I have this ability to connect with people in a world that can make you feel unheard and lonely. I’m here to tell them truth, give comfort, and be a inspiration to help others.

You have been compared to legendary artists, yet your vocal approach remains distinct. How do you balance honoring classic influences while staying true to your own identity?

It’s flattering to have these comparisons and I am grateful. All the artists I’ve been compared to are and will always be my musical heroes. They were and always will be legendary. I’m happy in my own self worth and authenticity and all those who inspired me were authentic. That’s what keeps me balanced.

As a pop artist with soulful and cinematic elements in your music, how do you personally define your genre and musical vision today?

Honestly I don’t try to set limits on what I can or can’t do. Being an artist requires creativity and you can’t be that if you’re worried about what people think. I love being free and having control of my art. What I will say is, people will always know with me what they get is honesty. If it be a slow ballad or a uptempo song, that’s romantic or an inspiring song about self worth, survival, being human, etc. What ever type of song, genre I release, it is my promise to always leave a lasting impression by bringing people music that will stay with them positively forever.

Your career has seen significant independent success, from charting albums to global media recognition. What has independence taught you about the music industry?

No one size fits everyone. All of our journeys are different because we have our own paths to get to our destination. What works for me won’t work for the next person. I’m a stickler for being authentic yourself. Of course the industry is changing all the time so you need to stay informed. It’s not easy, especially for independent music artists. Today we live in a time where it’s man vs the computer. Microwave results vs years of experience. So in that respect, it’s rewarding to stay relevant and be appreciated in what is turning into a very matrix kind of word.

Your songs frequently resonate with listeners facing hardship, distance, or self-doubt. What role do you hope your music plays in people’s lives?

Hope is a good word. I want people to believe in themselves, stay hopeful, and be determined to live their best lives despite hardships. I hope others are positively inspired by all my efforts and go out and do great things.

With your upcoming album “Free-Spirited” on the horizon, what can listeners expect from your future projects both musically and emotionally?

This upcoming album FREE-SPIRITED is an evolution of my art and a revolution as well to say it’s okay to be different. It’s a musical expression album. There will be some familiarity in some elements but there’s also plenty of the unexpected. This is just the beginning of what I have planned and I’m really excited to finally get this album out this year. We have more singles coming out very soon before this album drops as well. Looking forward to you all hearing them.
