Ciao e benvenuto. C’è un’ispirazione principale dietro il tuo EP “Clear Glass,” e come hai cercato di tradurla attraverso la tua musica?
Ciao e grazie, Andrea! L’EP “Clear Glass” si è formato un po’ per caso negli ultimi anni, quindi non è mai stato un progetto intenzionale, ma più un felice incidente! Sento che ogni traccia sta in piedi da sola, quindi sono incredibilmente felice del prodotto finale!
Da Permanent Vacation a R&S: come descriveresti l’evoluzione del tuo stile musicale dall’inizio della tua carriera e quali influenze hanno guidato questo cambiamento?
Credo che la mia musica sia diventata un po’ più profonda, forse da allora, forse? Sto ancora cercando di capirlo! Assorbo costantemente ciò che mi circonda, il che aiuta sicuramente a guidare il mio approccio artistico (sorride, ndr)
Sembra che la tua musica riesca a toccare una dimensione trascendente. Come cerchi di esprimere questo attraverso le tue tracce e qual è il tuo rapporto con la spiritualità?
Grazie! Ad essere onesto, non sono molto in contatto con la mia spiritualità. Detto questo, finisco una traccia solo quando mi sento davvero connesso ad essa, quindi se questo è il mio rapporto con la spiritualità, allora ci sono dentro al 100%!
Quali emozioni o concetti universali cerchi di trasmettere attraverso la tua musica e come hai affinato la tua capacità di esprimerli nel tempo?
Quello che faccio tende a essere un’estensione di come mi sento, è come fosse una lingua. Sento che più miglioro, più diventa facile comunicare!
Qual è il ruolo dell’improvvisazione e della sperimentazione nel tuo processo creativo e come si riflettono questi elementi nelle tue esibizioni dal vivo?
Ad essere onesto, quando scrivo, sono molto preciso, meticoloso e un grande perfezionista, il che in tutta onestà può diventare un po’ estenuante! Quando suono dal vivo, posso rilassarmi un po’ e divertirmi, lasciarmi andare e sperimentare, il che lo trovo molto divertente.
Come percepisci il ruolo della tecnologia nella musica e credi che la sua evoluzione abbia influenzato il modo in cui crei e produci il tuo suono?
L’evoluzione della tecnologia ha sicuramente influenzato tutto della mia musica! Ho studiato Musica e Informatica all’Università, quindi questo è sempre stato un interesse chiave per me. Contrariamente all’opinione popolare, vedo molti vantaggi negli avanzamenti tecnologici nella musica, anche negli strumenti AI. Gli esseri umani troveranno sempre modi per essere creativi e credo che avere accesso a più strumenti possa essere estremamente vantaggioso.
Guardando al futuro, come ti vedi sia artisticamente che personalmente in un futuro non troppo lontano?
Spero di continuare a migliorare e imparare, questo è il meglio che posso chiedere!

Hello and welcome. Is there a main inspiration behind your EP “Clear Glass,” and how have you sought to translate it through your music?
Hello and thank you, Andrea! The EP “Clear Glass” sort of fell together over the past few years, so it was never really an intentional project, but more of a happy accident! I feel as if each track stands on its own, so I’m incredibly happy with the end product!
From Permanent Vacation to R&S: how would you describe the evolution of your musical style since the beginning of your career, and what influences have guided this change?
I think my music has become a bit deeper, perhaps since then, maybe? I’m still trying to figure it out! I’m constantly absorbing what surrounds me, which definitely helps guide my artistic approach.
It seems like your music manages to touch upon a transcendent dimension. How do you aim to express this through your tracks, and what is your relationship with spirituality?
Thanks! To be honest, I’m not very in touch with my spirituality. That being said, I’ll only ever finish a track when I really feel connected to it, so if that’s my relationship with spirituality, then I’m all in at 100%!
Which emotions or universal concepts do you seek to convey through your music, and how have you refined your ability to express them over time?
What I do tends to be an extension of how I feel; it’s like a language. I feel that the more I improve, the easier it becomes to communicate!
What is the role of improvisation and experimentation in your creative process, and how do these elements reflect in your live performances?
To be honest, when I write, I’m very precise, meticulous, and a massive perfectionist, which honestly can become a bit exhausting! When I perform live, I can relax a bit, let loose, and experiment, which I find very fun.
How do you perceive the role of technology in music, and do you believe its evolution has influenced how you create and produce your sound?
The evolution of technology has definitely influenced everything about my music! I studied Music and Computing at University, so this has always been a key interest of mine. Contrary to popular opinion, I see a lot of advantages in technological advances in music, even in AI tools. Humans will always find ways to be creative, and I believe having access to more tools can be extremely advantageous.
Looking to the future, how do you envision yourself both artistically and personally in the not-so-distant tomorrow?
I hope to keep improving and learning; that’s the best I can ask for! Thank you.
